2016 Moto Expo Melbourne: Suzuki Absent But Will Run Their Own Exhibitions In 2017

The 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000 won't be at the 2016 Moto Expo in Melbourne, but you will be able to see it at company exhibitions early next year.

Suzuki Motorcycles has decided not to attend this weekend’s Moto Expo in Melbourne, choosing to hold a series of their own exhibitions in each major capital city within the first quarter of 2017 instead.

Lewis Croft, National Marketing Manager – Motorcycles for Suzuki Australia, said that the last few months have been huge for the famous marque, unveiling 9 new models at the INTERMOT and EICMA shows, including the much anticipated GSX-R1000R.

“Unfortunately the timing just wasn’t right for us to be able to have all of the exciting new models which were recently unveiled overseas here for the Melbourne Moto Expo.”

“We didn’t want to disappoint our loyal customers and fans by attending and not having these bikes present.”

Lewis says the exhibitions planned for early next year will allow Suzuki to engage with its customers and potential buyers across the country not just in one city.

Further information including dates and details for the exhibition nights will be announced in due course, and will be posted via suzukimotorcycles.com.au, the company’s social media channels and of course through Motorcycle Life.
