2016 Vespa 946 Emporio Armani Launched

Vespa 946 Emporio Armani Launched at Prestigious Event.

The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani has officially been launched in Australia, marking the 40th anniversary of Giorgio Armani and the 130th birthday of the Piaggio Group.

Such a prestigious and upmarket machine required an equally impressive event, and that was held at the Emporio Armani boutique at Martin Place in Sydney this week.

Around 150 guests attended the private cocktail party, and on show was the unique scooter as well as the Emporio Armani 2015/2016 Fall Winter collections.

You would expect a scooter bearing the Armani name to be something special, and this one certainly is.

In line with Armani’s signature subdued colour palette, all the metal surfaces are finished in a satin grey finish with subtle hints of green visible only under certain lighting.

The leather seat trim and hand grips are finished in brown, the words ‘Emporio Armani’ appear on the side, and the iconic eagle logo of the brand sits above the headlight.

The name ‘Vespa 946’ alludes to the year, 1946, that this scooter was first made.

The original design brief was to capture the essence that original scooter and blend it with modern technology.

The scooter is powered by a 125 cc 4 stroke engine with aluminium cylinder blocks, and is considered to be a class leader for fuel consumption and emissions.

It has front and rear disc brakes and state-of-the-art electronics that includes ABS, traction control, and an LCD instrument panel with web connectivity.

The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani will be produced in an exclusive limited run of individually numbered scooters, and we suggest contacting your local Vespa dealer for Australian availability and pricing.
