Aprilia RSV4 and Tuono Models Recalled

Brake issues force recall

Aprilia RSV4 and Tuono have been recalled because of a potential brake issue.
Aprilia RSV4 and Tuono have been recalled because of a potential brake issue.

A brake defect in certain Aprilia RSV4 1000 and Tuono 1100 models may affect braking power, prompting a product recall by the ACCC.

A problem with the front brake master cylinders mean they may not perform to expectation under heavy braking.

This of course could lead to reduced performance and an increase in stopping distance.

Model years MY15, MY16 and MY18 models sold around the nation between 1 January 2015 and 12 January 2018 are all affected by the recall.

Aprilia says affected owners will be contacted by mail.

Owners will then have to contact their nearest authorised dealer for an inspection and installation of improved braking system components.
