Australian Motorcycle News names BMW S 1000 XR Motorcycle of the Year.
BMW Motorrad has another trophy in the cabinet with Australian Motorcycle News (AMCN) naming the BMW S 1000 XR as its 2015 Motorcycle of the Year.
The AMCN award is judged on excellence in technology, design, finish quality, attention to detail and value for money as well as the bike’s relative effectiveness at meeting the needs of its target market.
Remarkably, this is the fourth successive year that BMW has taken out the award, with the S 1000 XR continuing the success of the S 1000 RR, R 1200 GS and the S 1000 R.
AMCN judges said what the XR is very nearly the ultimate high-performance real-world road bike.
The judges adding that – “if there is anything to criticize about the XR is that is too good”
A delighted General Manager of BMW Motorrad Australia, Tony Sesto, welcomed the award.

The BMW S 1000 XR is priced from $22,190.
