The cancellation of Stage 9 due to poor weather conditions has given some of the competitors a welcome break and a chance to rest.
Australian Scott Britnell (KTM) even had the opportunity to spend the night in a hotel, a rare pleasure when you’re doing the Dakar, as Scott is, without the benefit of a support team.

Scott has teamed up with South African rider Donovan Van De Langenberg who, like Scott, is competing in his first Dakar in the totally unassisted Malle Moto class.
