Ducati Experiences Continuing Growth In 2017

Despite an overall downturn in the market, Ducati continued its positive growth throughout 2017.

Ducati Motor Holding has had a bumper 2017 with improved sales figures continuing the growth trend of the past eight years.

Worldwide sales were a slight improvement on the previous year with 55,871 deliveries across all markets with the largest growth seen in Asian and South America.

In what is becoming a goldmine for all manufacturers, China saw an increase of 31% in sales while Argentina registered a massive 66% growth rate.

Figures were more subdued for Ducati’s biggest market, the US with 1.3% growth and their hom,e nation of Italy returned a satisfactory 12% increase.

Global Sales and Marketing Director Andrea Buzzoni says the good result comes on the back of new models in their range last year,  including the Multistrada 950, as well as additions to the Monster and SuperSport ranges.

“Despite a shrinking global market, we’ve succeeded in increasing our market share. Moreover, the sales success of the 1299 Superleggera and 1299 Panigale R Final Edition confirm our technological and brand leadership in the high-end sport bike segment.”

Ducati has plenty more lined up for the 2018 sales year with Panigale V4, Ducati Scrambler 1100, Multistrada 1260, 821 and 959 Panigale Corse all to be launched.
