Experiencing the thrill of riding a Harley-Davidson just got a bit easier for Melbourne riders.
Motorcycle hire company EagleRider has expanded its Australian operations, opening a new rental facility in the Melbourne suburb of Mitcham.
The company has around 60 motorcycle rental offices in the US and a further 20 or so in 11 other countries.
The Melbourne office is the fourth outlet for EagleRider in Australia, with other centres in Cairns, Brisbane and Sydney.
The Melbourne location gives riders quick access to very popular riding locations such as Black Spur Road, the Great Ocean Road, the Victorian Alps, North East Victoria, and Phillip Island.
There is a selection of 12 bikes now available in Melbourne including 10 Harley-Davidson’s, a Triumph Tiger XRx and Triumph Street Triple.
Daily rental rates start at around $230 per day and go up to about $330 for a Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Limited. Weekly rates are available for longer hires.
UPDATE: Thank you Santina from EagleRider Australia for letting us know that the rates are even better than we first thought – rentals start at $204.45 and go up to $289.42 for a single day hire.
The company can provide an approved helmet and a jacket, GPS and additional insurances can be added to the hire fees as well.
EagleRider also offers tours through it’s international network of offices, and the company website currently lists two in Australia – an 11 day guided tour through Far North Queensland and a 13 day trip from Sydney to Warrnambool and back.
EagleRider pioneered motorcycle rental in 1992, and has since added an online store for motorcycle parts and accessories, and its own range of riding apparel.
