Hot on the heels of Ducati’s unveiling of the 1299 Superleggera, BMW Motorrad has announced the most exclusive BMW motorcycle of all time at the EICMA show in Milan – the BMW HP4 RACE.
While details are sketchy, an advanced prototype with full carbon fibre main frame and carbon fibre rims was presented at EICMA. As to how closely the prototype resembles what BMW expects the production version to be was also unclear.

The only definitive information provided by Stephan Schaller, President of BMW Motorrad, related to the frame and wheels – “The HP4 RACE will feature the full carbon fibre main frame and carbon fibre rims as shown here. We will reveal more about this model next spring.”
It is also certain that the BMW HP4 RACE will be manufactured by hand in an exclusive limited series. Production is expected to begin in 2017 with the first bikes supplied in the second half of 2017.
The HP4 RACE will have a full carbon fibre main frame.
