Harley-Davidson Recall MY17 Touring Models

2017 Harley-Davidson Road King
Harley-Davidson has recalled all MY17 Touring models because of a potentially faulty oil line clamp.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has issued a recall on a range of Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

A faulty oil line clamp is the cause of the recall for MY17 Harley-Davidson Touring Models.

With the clamp not properly installed, the oil line may become detached and cause a sudden loss of engine oil resulting in the oil leaking onto the rear tyre.

This in turn could result in a loss of control and potentially lead to a crash.

HD models affected include:

  • FLHX
  • FLHXS
  • FLTRX
  • FLTRXS
  • FLHTCU
  • FLHR
  • FLHRC
  • FLHRXS
  • FLHP
  • FLHTP

Harley-Davidson will contact owners by mail with instructions to contact an approved dealer for an inspection and replacement.
