KTM has recalled its 1290 Super Adventure over issues with the semi-active rear shock.
The recall notice on the ACCC website reports that there may be an oil leak at the plug connection, and that the software for the semi-active shock requires updating.
Any oil loss may result in damage to the interior of the shock absorber, potentially creating a crash hazard.
The recall affects 2015 and 2016 models sold between the 1st February 2015 and the 4th May 2016, and a list of VIN numbers is available on the ACCC website.
KTM advises that owners should contact a KTM dealer to arrange a booking and inspection without delay.
Customers will also be sent a recall notification letter notifying them of specific information and the urgent requirement to have our dealer check the vehicle.
