KTM will be running adventure events in Australia from next year.
To promote the events, KTM has launched a dedicated website – Ride KTM – and is asking prospective participants to have their say in planning future events.
The new website will also be the “go to place” for KTM Australia adventure news, products and reviews, as well as stories from real KTM riders.
The first scheduled event will be the KTM Australia Adventure Rallye – March 2016, a 5 day, 1,500km trip in and around the Snowy Mountains beginning on Sunday March 6th in Jindabyne, NSW.
Whilst the Rallye is tailored to suit all rider abilities, there are certain requirements. Riders must have a KTM Adventure motorcycle (there’s list of eligible motorcycles on the website), knobby tyres and a minimum 250km fuel range.
The cost to enter the event is $695.00 per rider, and includes all logistical support, the provision of technical and medical support crews, luggage support, dinner each night and a KTM Goody Bag filled with give-aways, but not accommodation.
Also mentioned on the website is the KTM Adventure Training Series – January/February 2016, a 3-part adventure training series designed to teach riders everything they need to know from rider skills and bike setup to GPS navigation training.
The courses will be run over 2 full days at Woodford in Queensland, Bowral in NSW and Dixons Creek in Victoria. Dates, details and costs are on the website.
