Marzocchi Suspension Survives

Future Brighter for Suspension Manufacturer Marzocchi.

The future of Italian suspension manufacturer Marzocchi seems brighter after local automotive parts manufacturer VRM signed an agreement this week to purchase the remaining assets of the company from Tenneco.

Tenneco Marzocchi signed a definitive agreement with Fox Factory, Inc. for the sale of certain assets of its mountain bike business back in October.

Under the agreement, FOX took over the Marzocchi brand for bicycles and the sales and servicing of Marzocchi mountain bike products.

But the future of the motorcycle suspension division was uncertain, and reports were that the company was about to close its doors indefinitely.

Although VRM has not yet announced its plans for Marzocchi, it is expected that it can continue as normal and probably grow its market share under the VRM banner.

Marzocchi has traditionally supplied components to high end brands, and VRM already has Ducati, MV Agusta, BMW and Ferrari as customers.
