As the doors closed on another successful Motorcycle Expo in Melbourne this weekend, the future of the event seems well secured with shows announced for both 2017 and 2018.
At the opening of the 2016 Moto Expo in Melbourne last Friday, the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) confirmed the 2017 show will be held in Sydney next November at the new $1.5 billion Sydney International Convention Centre (ICC) in Darling Harbour.
Shows have also been announced for Brisbane in early 2018 and Melbourne in November 2018.
Tony Weber, Chief Executive of the FCAI, also confirmed that Troy Bayliss Events has been engaged as the FCAI’s partners for the 2017 show in Sydney following on from previous successful collaborations.
Troy Bayliss Events proved their ability as event organisers when the company successfully ran a show in Brisbane in 2014 at a time when the motorcycle shows in Australia had become highly disjointed.
They backed that up with another successful show in Melbourne later that year.
In announcing the Sydney event for 2017, Tony Weber said “We’re very excited about bringing the show to this brand new venue and the industry is determined to put on a really great exhibition next November.”
Tony said motorcycle and ATV industry representatives are very pleased with what the world-class ICC venue offers in terms of its contemporary style, its huge display areas, and of course, the convenience of its downtown Sydney location.
