A small number of 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R motorcycles sold in Australia between the 11th December 2015 and 22nd February 2016 could have an issue with the steering damper bracket.
An ACCC recall notice has been issued stating that the steering damper bracket mounting bolts could break due to over tightening during assembly.
The bracket may then separate from the frame and could cause interference with the steering.
The affected models are ZX1000SGF (2016 Ninja ZX-10R ABS), ZX1000SGFA (2016 Ninja ZX-10R ABS KRT Replica), ZX1000SGFB (2016 Ninja ZX-10R ABS KRT Winter Edition), ZX1000RGFA (2016 Ninja ZX10R KRT Replica (non ABS)).
Kawasaki Australia will contact customers with affected motorcycles by mail, advising them to contact their local Authorised Kawasaki Motorcycle Dealership to book their motorcycle in for repair.
