Suzuki SFV650, GSX-S1000 and GSX-R1000 Models recalled.
A product safety recall has been issued for the Suzuki SFV650L4 & SFV650UL5 Gladius models over a possible issue with the fuel tank breather hose.
The ACCC recall notice advises that the fuel tank breather hose may not have been positioned correctly during the production process and this may create internal pressure or vacuum which could lead to deformation of the tank.
In a worst case scenario this may lead to cracking of the fuel tank and a possible fuel leak.
The Suzuki Motorcycles recalls are being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
This is the second recall notice issued in less than a month for Suzuki. On the 18th November the ACCC issued a recall notice for Suzuki GSX-S1000 A/FA L6 & GSX-R1000A L6 models.
These models have a potential problem with the front brake caliper where it may exhibit some fluid leakage due to an uneven piston seal surface. This was caused by entry of the outer coating treatment into the piston bore during production.
The problem could cause brake fluid to leak out onto the wheel.
Owners with these models should contact their local Suzuki dealer for further information and to have their affected motorcycles checked.
