Victory Motorcycle Models Recalled For Breach Of Noise Regulations

Victory Motorcycles Australia has been forced to recall many of its recent models because the motorcycles may not meet the required noise standards.

Many recent Victory models have been recalled because the motorcycles may not meet the required noise standards.

The list of affected Victory models is:

  • 2015 – 2016 Vegas
  • 2015 – 2016 Hammer
  • 2015 – 2016 Gunner
  • 2015 – 2016 Judge
  • 2015 – 2016 Highball
  • 2015 – 2016 Jackpot
  • 2015 Boardwalk

The recall notice issued through the ACCC states that the noise levels may not meet the regulatory requirements even when the affected motorcycle is ridden under normal conditions.

The regulatory requirements referred to are the noise emissions standard required by UN ECE R41 and ADR 83/00, which define limits on external noise generated by motor vehicles, motor cycles and mopeds.

Owners are advised to contact their nearest dealer to arrange an inspection and possible repair of the motorcycle.
